Each studio at Penny Lane is equipped with a Fairlight Constellation. Why do we use it? Full throw automated faders, 96 track playback, built in video playback, super fast server access. It's the fastest system on the planet, period. Moving sessions from studio to studio is effortless. Access to our 100,000 plus sound effects library is lightning fast. Constellation's powerful bussing system allows simultaneous generation of multiple surround formats plus bus-to-bus mixing for multi-stem work. What does this mean? When you come to Penny Lane for a surround mix, both stereo and surround are done simultaeniosly. Surround stems are created at the same time stereo stems are. This give you more creative time in the studio and less “lay off” time. A unique grouping and panning system allows smooth and simple manipulation of the mix matrix to stunning effect, ensuring that the most complex surround sound mixes can be accomplished with ease. Our systems can also ingest full resolution 4.2.2. HD. This means that the picture that you work to in session looks simply brilliant. We upgrade our systems every year, ensuring that the system remains ahead of the curve. Ahead of everyone else. All of our session back ups are compatible with our new upgrades, meaning we can still open sessions from 10 years ago. Other audio systems just can't do that.
